Client Brief

The over-arching brief from the client was to ensure accessibility whilst streamlining a classic design. The home itself had undergone a recent transformation and the bathroom now needed bringing in-line with the rest of the house. Storage, clutter-free and functional were key words from the clients along with the warmth of a classic modern design.

Design

We created a design which incorporated separate bath and shower areas, perfect for practicality and utilising the entire room whilst maintaining a spacious feel. A large Bette bath was installed with a non slip coating in the glaze, making it easy to clean and a low profile shower tray makes for easy access – again ensuring practicality.

With the clean lines we opted for warm earthy tones in an italian porcelain stone effect tile on both wall and floor. This was teamed with a beautiful split faced effect tile to create a feature in the shower area and mimicked in the bath area, adding lighting to the recesses really enhanced the textures.

The space need to be practical for the clients need and so the furniture was streamlined in one long run. A timeless matt finish was chosen, along with a large basin, chrome fittings and demister mirror which really tied the whole design together.
